Don't Easily Fall For The Sweet Talk: Learn Who To Trust When Doing Your Searches On Real Estate

There comes a time in one's life when we just have to keep pushing forward no matter how hard life pushes you back. Once in a while, life gives you a break; you will be relieved with how things progress in the future. Being stuck in the office working from nine to five for three years finally paid off. Being given a promotion and a bigger raise, and a spacious office calls for luxury. I quickly realized that I can't have a great job living in an apartment, taking a bus very early to avoid the rush hour everyday, and wearing old clothes. So, it's about time for me to pamper myself.

First, I hooked myself up with a new car that I could pay for within the year, bought some fine clothes, and talked to some real estate agents. As a fellow buyer, I would like to give a few insights of how a real estate agent takes care of business. Finding a house isn't as easy as putting up a post on local advertisements or giving away flyers. You need someone who has the expertise in these kinds of situations, like doing all of those for you plus more - this is what real estate agents do.

I managed to come across a fine looking house down in 7th street, and immediately dialed the number indicated on the picket fence guarding the beautiful luscious gardens on the front lawn. After a few rings, a gentleman answered the phone in a professional manner by introducing himself right away. Mr. Morgan (not his real name), scheduled a date for me to check the house for sale. A couple of days passed and I went to the place to check on the house. To my dismay, some of the flowers that are planted on the lawn are just artificial to give the place a different, more refreshing ambiance. I checked inside the place and everything looks good, nothing really unusual about the place. Except that there are some minor setbacks about the size. I informed Mr. Morgan, that the place doesn't seem fit for the price. Mr. Morgan, smiled, and quickly counter-acted by informing me to ask anyone who handles Miami Beach real estate knows that the price offered is just right.

As per Mr. Morgan's advice, I took his suggestion and checked the internet for potential houses in Miami Beach, as it was my dream ever since: to live in Miami Beach. First hit I got from the search engine, I dialed his contact, got a schedule to check the house. After a few days, Mr. Crick showed me the exact same place, less the flowers. I pretended to have never checked the place yet as Mr. Crick shared a few untrue stories about the house's background. According to Mr. Morgan, the place was owned by Will Smith when he was starting. But according to Mr. Crick, this is where Michael Jordan was conceived.

They both gave the same price and told me the exact same message Mr. Morgan gave me. I was very close to buying the place out of desperation, when suddenly, I remembered an old friend. He owns a house in Fisher Island and is a terrific Miami Beach real estate agent. He told me all about the secrets of the big real estate agencies. What happened was a classic act of desperation for a house that can't be sold for its unusual asking price. Other agents tend to get their co-workers on getting the same client to trick them into paying for the asking price. Sadly, there is no law passed for these desperate fools selling and tricking unexpected buyers. Beware. Just remember, if they talk too much about how wonderful the place is, don't believe it. This is Miami, everywhere is wonderful.
